Cards:
Discovery Age
Put vills on seperate crates, make sure you get a consulate building as soon as you get 200w from the crates with one of your vills.
If you had a 300w start, just put 1 vill on wood and the rest on food, and 1 on the consulate until you have 110 wood, then put everything on food and get your consulate building as soon as possible, make sure your monks are there in advance, you don't want to get housed.
If you had a 200w start, put 1 vill on consulate and 5 on wood, until you have 110, and then build the shrine as soon as you ally with Ports.
Your first card depends on the matchup, if you're against a civ that isn't likely to be too aggressive really early in the game, ship Heavenly Kami, this makes your shrines gather more and also makes them cheaper. Your shrines after this card arrives, with the Ports consulate, will only cost you 78 wood, which is insanely cheap, build as many shrines as possible in transition to age 2, and put anywhere from 0-2 vills on the toshugu shrine, keep in mind that you can start aging at 680 food now instead of 800 food. If you feel like you're going to get rushed, you can ship 2 vills or 3 boats instead, and just build less shrines in transition, also if you ship this first, put 4 vills on the wonder.
Colonial Age
With Heavenly Kami shipped, put most of your vills on wood, and not too many on the wonder. You want to pump out as many shrines in transition to age 2 as possible, it will slow down your age up time but your eco will soar. Once you age, make sure you've saved 170 wood and build a barracks. - Your second card is 600w, and with that build a second barracks and a market, and some more shrines. Don't rush to get all of your market upgrades, get them whenever you can spare a few resources, but for the most part focus on your production.
- From there if you need to you can ship 5 Yumi or 5 Ashi if you're being rushed, with mintuemen you should be able to hold off anything that comes at you. Vill fight if necessary.
- If you don't need those cards, just ship 4 vill, 4 vill, Unit Upgrade, Daimyo, and 2 Orchards. There are exceptions of course, but you'll have to figure it out for yourself.
With vills or boats shipped first, your going to be going more military heavy and less eco oriented. Pretty much just ship whatever you need. Wood is usually first still, and then military afterwards.
Tips
